Putney family seeking after school childcare from June 2013

We are a local family looking for short-term after-school childcare from 3 June 2013.

We have two children age 7 and 5 who attend St. Mary’s School, Felsham Road, Putney. We are looking for someone local who can do pickups / after school care on a flexible basis 3-5 days per week until the end of term (19 July) and potentially some full days during the holidays until 3 August 2013. We live in Langside Avenue, Putney (SW15 5QT).

The role will involve collecting the children from St. Mary’s at 3.15pm; hosting playdates or collecting our children to playdates; taking them to planned activities such as swimming or netball, helping with homework, cooking their tea, help them keep their things tidy and occasionally getting them ready for bed.

We are looking for someone who has experience with children, who is responsible, organised and caring but also creative, active and fun.  Also someone who doesn’t mind emptying the dishwasher or putting a load of washing in the machine if required. We may occasionally also require morning drop off – arriving around 7.15 am giving the children breakfast then dropping them to St. Mary’s for 8.55 am.

We are looking for someone who lives locally - in Putney / Barnes/ Roehampton / East Sheen and who is looking for work to fit in with another role or studies, potentially a mother of older children (or grandmother!) or a student back for the holidays. We would want you to be fluent in English (ideally have English as your first language), and have checkable references. If the dates don’t exactly suit please still get in touch, as we may be able to be flexible or use multiple people. We are happy for you to pass this opportunity to anyone local you think would be suitable for this role.

Preferably
  • you will be able to drive, have a clean driving license and ideally access to your own car
  • you will be happy to work on a flexible basis (days and times required agreed a week in advance) – however we will also consider a fixed basis.
  • you will have first aid experience / qualifications and ideally a CRB.

We may need help from September on a more long-term basis.  Let us know if you are interested in working with us in the autumn
